DESCRIPTION:
A styrene / butadine co-polymer latex, a white synthetic liquid rubber.
USAGE:
For use in bonding Slurries, screeds, renderings, pavings and other
cementitious mixes where it wholly or partially replaces the water content
of the mixes.
Can be an economic replacement for epoxy and other resin products and
it is easier to use.
APPLICATION:
Mix 2 parts cement with one part AL/44 and use a prime coat. This should
be well brushed into the surface which has been prepared i e. clean
and dust free. Then a normal sand / cement coat, containing 6 litres
AL/44 to every 50kg cement should be applied onto the wet prime coat.
Where a fairly thick coating of waterproofing is required, numerous
thin layers of approximately 10mm thick should be applied one on top
of the other, with an interval of 15-30 minutes between each coat.
Where AL/44 is used to waterproof dam walls, reservoirs etc., it is
recommended that a minimum of 5 litres of AL/44 be used for every 50kg
of cement. The more AL/44 in the mix the better results will be. In
the course of construction by mixing 12,5kg of AL/44 to every 50kg of
cement in the normal sand l cement mix, an excellent water-resistant
concrete will be obtained.
Wash tools immediately after use.
